Versaly adds Stanley Mouse to mobile digital art collection
Versaly teams with Stanley Mouse to distribute famous artwork to mobile phones
Seattle, WA — August 13, 2002 — Versaly Games, Inc., a wireless application service provider focused on delivering broad-based entertainment to mobile phones, today announces it has signed an agreement with Stanley Mouse, the artist who independently and in tandem with longtime collaborator Alton Kelley, created some of the most distinctive and memorable images in rock music, including the "Skull and Roses" emblem for the Grateful Dead, to distribute his famous artwork for use as backgrounds and screensavers on mobile phones.
World famous for his posters and album cover art, Stanley Mouse "drew the face on rock music." Stanley is responsible for influencing the "look" of some of the most famous bands in rock & roll history, including the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and of course, anyone who knows of the Grateful Dead has seen artwork by Stanley Mouse. In addition, Stanley has created some of the most well known posters of all time for famous rock bands, including a Grammy-winning piece for the Steve Miller Band, and concerts at the Fillmore Auditorium and Avalon Ballroom.
Stanley also originated the hot rod series called, "Monster Weirdo" collection of airbrushed t-shirts and posters. Stanley is thrilled with Versaly’s product and is now working on animated versions of these famous artworks for distribution on Versaly’s wireless service.
